Data Sharing Policy

Last Updated: April 2025

InnovatioSports Journal promotes data sharing to foster transparency and reproducibility in scientific research. Authors are responsible for the secure storage of the data underlying their studies and, where appropriate, for making these data accessible.

GENERAL PRINCIPLES

  • We value data accessibility within the framework of open science.

  • Datasets should be open, understandable, and accessible, aiming to allow verification of research and to support future studies.

AUTHOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Authors must clearly specify the availability, location, and access methods of the datasets used in their research.

  • Datasets should be submitted with the article or stored in trusted digital repositories (e.g., Zenodo, Figshare, Dryad), with access links provided in the manuscript.

  • If data sharing is restricted due to ethical, legal, or commercial reasons, this must be clearly stated in the article.

DATA STORAGE AND ACCESS

  • Authors are expected to securely retain their research data for at least 10 years.

  • During the peer review process, editors or reviewers may request access to the data.

  • After publication, readers may request access to the data. Authors should respond to such requests under appropriate conditions.

PRIVACY AND ETHICS

  • Personal data must be anonymized in compliance with data protection regulations.

  • In studies involving human participants, informed consent must be obtained for data sharing.

  • For studies requiring ethics committee approval, such approval must also cover data sharing.

OPEN DATA AND LICENSING

  • We support Open Data principles and recommend the use of Creative Commons licenses (preferably CC BY 4.0) when sharing datasets.

  • InnovatioSports Journal encourages data to be managed and shared in accordance with the FAIR Data Principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable).
